I'm asking the folow RX members to help out, please read

Vietnam was recently hit with a massive monsoon.
Now my family and all my relatives have lost everything back home.
Their village is in a state of emergency.

I will be setting up a small paypal acount and am asking for donations.
Now if anybody here knows me i never ask for help, Ive sent home well over ten k already which has covered most of the needs but they still need money to eat!!

Im asking for small donations, whether it be 1,2 or even 5 dollars.
Youve gotta understand people over here work 10 hour days for not even 5 bucks.
So if you find it in your heart to even send a lil someting, believe me this karma will come back to you tenfold!!
Please dont threadcrap this too and if this is against the rules, please lock it up.

I do not think it is appropriate to ask for donations to a paypal account without obvious affiliations to the red cross or similar organizations. I do wish your family well though

It sounds like it might be a good cause. If I may make a suggestion, find a better known public agency to send donations to.

This kind of thing looks suspicious and many people who may want to help would automatically reject something like this, whereas they may not mind sending money to the Red Cross (or whatever). I would be such a person.

We live in cynical times where people routinely set up scams under the auspices of collecting for worthy causes.

asking for donations on a degenerate gambling board is a big no-no because how can we trust you won't bet it away. Ask for it in charitable forums or ask for red cross aid.

A question for everyone. What ever happen to the poster whose little boy had cancer or leukemia, I cant remember what he had. I havent heard anything in awhile about how things are going. I hope all is well.
